Prayer in the Church

The Gospel of Grace Radio Broadcast from 7-9-2017.  Text from: 1 Cor. 14:15

An integral part of the New Testament worship service is prayer in the church.  Jesus actually declared – quoting from the Old Testament – that His house should be a “house of prayer”.  Prayer should be such a prevalent activity in the Lord’s church that it is one of the defining attributes of the house.  We also see the pattern of the early church as they met together to pray continually in the public worship, and the individual disciples are commanded to pray without ceasing.  Prayer is a vital component of a healthy New Testament church and the public worship service.
