It’s vitally important that we rightly divide the will of God in scripture. God is sovereign and when he chooses to act, there is not that can hinder or stop him. There are other instances of God’s commanded or providential will that might not be carried out perfectly in this world, but that is not true of God’s sovereign will, particularly in regeneration and eternal salvation. There is none that can stay or stop the sovereign hand of Almighty God.
