God set up his church exactly as he desired in the original church. Jesus Christ is the head of the church and we observe all things that Christ has commanded us, even until his second coming. We have two ordinances in the church: the Lord’s Supper and baptism, and we are commanded to observe those ordinances until Jesus returns again the second time.
