As we consider the Sinner’s Prayer, we have found that wording is not actually in the Bible. The Sinner’s Prayer has been created by men to try to save souls to heaven. However, sinners are only saved by the blood of Jesus Christ, not by our actions of belief or confession. As sinners, we do need to pray to God for forgiveness but that only soothes our troubled conscience. We are only saved to heaven by the finished work of Christ’s blood on the cross.
