In Zechariah 4, we see a vision of a temple and lampstands outside the house of God. We see from scripture that in the New Testament kingdom, the church, the people of God are the Lord’s temple and the house of God. The church is also depicted as a golden candlestick. Therefore, we can learn from his prophecy in Zechariah about the blessings we have in the New Testament church as the golden candlestick of God in this world.
