In a desire to exalt the sovereignty of God, some might be prone to err too far in the other direction and believe that God has absolutely predestinated all events in this world to come to pass. This false teaching of absolute predestination makes God the author of sin and is contradictory to scripture. We consider the fallacy of absolute predestination and the clear if-then statements and alternative outcomes that we see all throughout scripture.
