In describing the armor of God, the Holy Spirit shows us the priority of the shield of faith – “above all” taking the shield of faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God. We are called to live by faith in our life. When we live boldly in faith, we are able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked and keep us safe from the onslaught of Satan in this world.
