In the midst of Jesus’ Olivet discourse sermon, he gives a parable of ten virgins. Five of those virgins were vigilant and kept their oil lamps burning until the bridegroom returned, but five of the virgins allowed their lamps to go out. This morning Brother Joe dispels the notion that the five foolish virgins were condemned to hell because of their failure to remain ready and vigilant. This also serves an admonition for us to remain watchful for the coming of our eternal Bridegroom, looking expectantly for Christ’s second coming.
