The shield of faith is one of our greatest defenses in the kingdom of God. While we might view other parts of our armor of greater priority, the scripture says that “above all” we must take the shield of faith to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. Great promises are given to those who “overcome”. Ultimately, God will bless us to triumph over the wickedness of this world through faith and at Christ’s second coming.
