Before we are tempted to impose our own opinions on God’s word or even allow our own opinion to overrule and supercede the scriptures, we need to understand the preeminence of God’s word. Even if we do not accept God’s law as revealed in the scriptures, that does not change the fact that it is the only true absolute truth in the world and we will be judged accordingly. We must study the scriptures to appropriately “judge righteous judgment”.
