In our consideration of the TULIP doctrines of grace, this morning we arrive at Limited Atonement, or Particular Redemption. It is very unpopular in Christianity today to declare that God doesn’t love everyone, but that is God’s teaching in his holy scriptures. We have to look at the atonement and redemption from the right perspective though. When we see how totally depraved we are in our nature and how we all fully deserve God’s wrath and not his grace, we praise God for choosing anyone to love and save and not disappointed that he left some in their ruined state that we have created by our own sin. Praise God for particular, discriminating grace, otherwise no one would be every saved to heaven!
