If we are going to be successful to withstand the wiles of Satan, we need to be aware of his most common tactics. The devices of Satan have not really changed much since the beginning of time, and the garden of Eden. The devil is the father of lies. Satan lies and promises something better that is not true. Satan corrupts and casts doubt on God’s word. We resist the devil and can defeat Satan in our temptations by wielding the sword of the Spirt, which is the word of God, and by diligent prayer for God’s protection and strength.
