At the arrival of Mary to her cousin Elizabeth’s home, after she professes Mary’s child in her womb to be her Lord, Mary breaks forth into one of the most beautiful doxologies of praise in the scriptures. Mary praises God for looking upon the low estate of his handmaiden, for showing grace on her that she does not deserve, and for the joy of carrying the Christ in her womb. Let us consider Mary’s doxology of praise together and then in return praise God for his blessings in our lives as well.
