We consider 1 Cor. 13, the charity chapter. Faith and love are very commonly connected in scripture. Faith is the fuel by which we exhibit agape, self-sacrificial love to others. This chapter makes it clear that great acts of faith without love are empty and vain. It is a challenge to deny ourselves and show agape love to others, but we called to show charity to others as disciples of Jesus Christ.
