This morning we consider the basic doctrinal truth that all men are depraved and corrupt by nature. There is no man that does good, seeks God, or is righteous, so if salvation is by man’s works then no one could ever be saved. Instead, the scriptures teach that man is saved by God’s sovereign grace alone, in spite of man’s innate depravity.
