Continuing to rightly divide the word of God from our text in 1 Peter 1, Brother Joe Nettles ascribes the power of the new birth for the sinner accomplished is only by the voice of the Son of God, Jesus Christ, not by the written or preached word of God. When we get to heaven, we will not exalt the written scriptures or a preacher who expounded on those scriptures for us, but rather we will eternally proclaim “Worthy is the Lamb!”
