After concluding the parable of the Good Samaritan, Jesus gives the command to go and do likewise. The summary lesson of the parable – who then is our neighbor? The answer is that every one we come in contact with is our neighbor, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, or any other barrier we might use as an excuse to love our neighbor as ourselves.
