Using the example of Solomon’s wisdom displayed with two harlots, we see a sword as a display of wisdom in the scriptures. The word of God is the sword of the Spirit that we use to rightly divide scripture and use as an offensive weapon in the armor of God to withstand against the wiles of the devil. A sword in scripture is used for judgement, discernment, and wisdom and we must use the sword of God’s word to discern properly in our lives as well.
