One of the most powerful aspects of our good confession of faith is knowing when to be silent. A “silent confession” can sometimes be even more powerful than what we might say. We think about the testimony of Jesus Christ and how he suffered silently and Pilate marveled in his silence. We should follow Jesus’ pattern many times and be “slow to speak” and let the Lord defend us.
